Tailgate Talk

July 10, 2026 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Fairfax Grange Hall, Fairfax Road, Bakersfield, CA, USA

Mark your calendars for an upcoming Kern County Farm Bureau Tailgate Talk! Tailgate Talks are informal educational sessions designed to bring together farmers, ranchers, agricultural professionals, and community members to discuss timely topics impacting agriculture. These events provide an opportunity to hear directly from industry experts, ask questions, and stay informed on issues affecting Kern County agriculture.

This session will feature a representative from California Farm Bureau’s Policy Department, who will provide updates on current agricultural policy issues and predator-related developments at the state level. Attendees will also hear from Julie Finzel, University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) Livestock and Natural Resources Advisor, who will share the latest information on wolves, including updates relevant to livestock producers and rural communities.
