The Kern County Farm Bureau (KCFB) and the Water Association of Kern County (WAKC) will be hosting a Golden Mussel Forum on August 5th at Bakersfield College – Renegade Event Center from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
This forum is to provide an overview of how water agencies and local stakeholders are responding to the threat of invasive golden mussels, including monitoring, treatment, prevention, and infrastructure protection efforts. The discussion will also help inform landowners, businesses, and community members about the current status of golden mussels in Kern County and what they should know moving forward.
This event will be FREE for members of KCFB and WAKC. There will be an entry free charge for non-members.
