The Farm Service Agency (FSA) offices have seen significant interest in the Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers program. The deadline for submitting required information has been pushed to April 24th. Additionally, you may receive a call from FSA offices outside the county — including locations across California and the United States — as they assist Kern County and other counties in addressing the backlog. Please return any calls as soon as possible.
Kern County has a current list of over 400 Specialty Crop Growers that did not certify their crops for 2025.
